Sylhet Royals prevail in a close match against Rangpur Riders after Nazmul Hossain Milon's late heroics. The five wicket win, their 6th won of this edition, gave the Royals a clear lead at the top of the points table.
The early blows put the Royals confidently in control and they won with three deliveries left. Milon remained unbeaten on 45 runs from 29 balls.
Milon put 37 runs for the 5th wicket with skipper Mushfiqur Rahim, who made 17 runs from 24 balls, before concluding the chase with Elton Chigumbura, who was not out on 10. Earlier, opener Dwayne Smith had made 31 from 21 balls but Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Mominul Haque dismissed cheaply.
The Riders had imploded from a position of power after they were sent in to bat. From 101 for 1 in the 15th over, they shrunken to 122 all out, the same score they had been dismiss for in the previous match. The stand had been set by Shamsur Rahman's 3rd half century in the season, 52 from 46 balls included with five fours and a six, but it was went to vain.
Smith and Sohag Gazi claimed three wickets each, while Dirk Nannes take two for the Royals. Nazmul Hossain named for the Man of the Match Award.
