Khulna Royal Bengals take their 1st win in five matches, beating Duronto Rajshahi by eight wickets. Chasing 139 runs to win, the Royal Bengals, lead by Shahriah Nafees' 71 runs, helped to win in 19.2 overs.
Nafees, like in the earlier two wins by his side, was the key contributor in the win. He smashed eleven boundaries in his 52 deliveries knock, ended the match with a six off Ben Edmondson with five runs needed for victory. He leads the chase with two partnerships; he put on 63 runs for the 2nd wicket with Travis Birt, who made 23 off 26 deliveries included with two fours and a six, and followed this up with a 54 runs partnership in 6.4 overs with Jehan Mubarak, who stayed unbeaten till the end for a ball 30 off 27.
Earlier, Rajshahi had improved to post a belligerent total after they had slipped to 64 for 6 in the 11th over. Mukhtar Ali and Sean Ervine put on 42 runs for the 7th wicket, and Mukhtar stayed unbeaten on 41 runs to lead them to 138 runs. Mukhtar hitted four fours and two sixes during hisl innings.
For the Royal Bengals, Krishmar Santokie take three wickets while left-arm spinner Sanjamul Islam and legspinner Noor Hossain claimed two each. Both teams played with different skippers today; Lou Vincent lead the Royal Bengals in spite of Nafees being in the playing eleven, and Tamim lead Rajshahi in place of Chamara Kapugedera.
