Mohammad Ashraful strike his first Twenty20 hundred to helped Dhaka Gladiators to a six wicket victory over Khulna Royal Bengals. This was just the 2nd century in this tournament in the BPL after Shahriar Nafees' unbeaten 102 against Duronto Rajshahi in Khulna.
Ashraful was made unbeaten on 103 from 58 deliveries, as the Gladiators rapidly approached the 177 run target they had been set by the Royal Bengals. He smashed fourteen fours and two sixes.
Ashraful was aided by Joshua Cobb and Darren Stevens, put on 61 runs for the 4th wicket with the former and 74 for the fifth wicket with the latter.
Earlier, it was Travis Birt scored the Gladiators attack look ordinary with a glowing knocks of 94 runs. He hitted six fours and as many sixes . Jehan Mubarak scored 65 from 43 deliveries and had the pair not put on 120 for the 3rd wicket. This was the Dhaka Gladiators' eighth win in the season while the Royal Bengals have suffered as many losses in the tournament.
