Rangpur Riders were  out of the BPL after lost  their last  league game  against Barisal Burners by 26 runs. The end result put Duronto Rajshahi in the final four of the season, with a attempt at the final, because they are to the front on the head to head count, after ended with  ten points along with Riders and Burners.

Before of the match, the Riders had a directly forward task. They only had to victory  against the Burners, but in spite of restrict them to 139 for 7, their batting crumbled.
