Rangpur Riders back in to contention, riding on Shamsur Rahman's sixth half century in this season of the BPL. Rangpur Riders beat a weaken Duronto Rajshahi by 19 runs, and replace them in fourth place on net run rate.
They barely had a go at the 180 runs target, down their top half in the sixth over before Mukhtar Ali and Ziaur Rahman hitted some big ones to keep some attention towards the end. They put on 71 runs for the sixth wicket, but both dismissed in the 14th over to Abdur Razzak.
Kevin O'Brien take three wickets while Razzak and Dutta gor two. Shamsur's 51 guide him take over as the highest runs scorer with 418 runs. He persistent to give the Riders a quick start at the top, smashed seven fours in his 36 ball innings.
He added a quick 88 runs partnership for the first wicket with Junaid Siddique before dismissed in the 13th over to a catch at long-on off Mukhtar. Mukhtar chipped in with three wickets, perhaps inspired by being made the skipper for the match.
