Dhaka Gladiators ended second after comprehensive win over Chittagong Kings

Dhaka Gladiators 168 for 6
Shakib 59*, Dilshan 49

Chittagong Kings 139 for 9
Nurul 43

Two aggressive knocks from  Shakib Al Hasan and Tillakaratne Dilshan, and a fall down  eight wickets for just 37 runs  safe Dhaka Gladiators' 29 runs win  over Chittagong Kings in Mirpur. This  victory gave the Gladiators second place  in the points table at the close  of the league  stages.

They struggled  an early bluster after being put in to bat, when opener Joshua Cobb was removed  cheaply in the second over. However, Dilshan leads  steady the innings, with  66 runs  partnership  with Anamul Haque  made  23. After Dilshan dismissed  in the 12th over for 49 off 38 deliveries  Shakib finished  with 59 from  29 deliveries and  put on  75 runs with Darren Stevens.

The Kings  were in the challenge when Nurul Hasan and Marshall Ayub put on  72 runs for the second wicket in 48 deliveries. But spinners Mosharraf Hossain and Dilshan come back  with two quick wickets each, and the Kings cannot able to  recover. Six of the final  seven batsmen scored in single digits, and they slipped from 92 for 1 to 129 for 9 in the one before the final  over. Four bowlers claimed  two wickets each.

This game  did not hold much effect, however, with both sides are  already in the final four spots.
