Duronto Rajshahi 152 for 5
Jahurul Islam 49*, Mukhtar 26*
Sylhet Royals 147 for 8
Mushfiqur 34, Munaweera 2 for 19
Jahurul Islam's unbeaten 49 helped Duronto Rajshahi to their fifth win in the Tournament, beating Sylhet Royals, who remain peak of the table in spite of the defeat.
Tamim Iqbal's absence, after he hurt his left hand while fielding, made the chase of 148 appear more impressive. After Charles Coventry and Dilshan Munaweera gave Rajshahi a helpful start, they lost four wickets quickly, and Jahurul faced a well-known task of steadying the innings.
After Jahurul and Ziaur Rahman were separated in the 15th over, Jahurul put on 46 runs form 29 deliveries with Mukhtar Ali to reach the target in the last over. Mukhtar was given most of the strike and the destructive allrounder made the most of his opportunities as he smashed two sixes and a four in his 29 off 17.
This was Jahurul's third match winning knock in a row he made 57 and 38 not out against Barisal Burners and Rangpur Riders earlier than this match.
The Rajshahi bowlers had also contribute to this win, with left arm spinner Monir Hossain and Munaweera claimed two wickets each. After a strong 2nd wicket partnership between Paul Stirling and Mushfiqur Rahim, who put on 51 runs, the Royals missing their way as they went for too many attacking strokes.
Ben Edmondson, Naeem Islam jnr and Mukhtar take a wicket each, and guide Rajshahi restrict Sylhet Royals to 147 runs. Mushfiqur and Stirling, who made 34 and 24 respectively, were the top scorers for the Sylhet Royals.
