The Chittagong Kings bowlers finished the work started by Ryan ten Doeschate as they race to a record 89 runs triumph over Khulna Royal Bengals. This was their 4th win in the tournament, and it reserved them in fourth position while the Royal Bengals stayed at the bottom after suffering their seventh loss. Khulna Royals 67 runs all out is the lowest score in the season and their border of defeat the largest.
Kings top order collapsed enormously after being put in to bat they lost Brendan Taylor, Naeem Islam and Mahmudullah by the 4th over. From that point, ten Doeschate and their new sign up David Miller disallowed the situation from failing further.
This pair put on 61 runs for the fourth wicket before ten Doeschate had Jacob Oram for company in a 49 runs partnership for the fifth wicket. Oram contributed just four runs to that partnership, but a change of things from ten Doeschate guide his side past the 150 runs mark. ten Doeschate and Kevon Cooper smashed 36 runs off just 11 deliveries in the final stages.
Ten Doeschate missed his hundred by just five runs, hitting four sixes and seven fours in his 61 ball unbeaten innings. The late attack wasted the good work by Shapoor Zadran, who take 2 for 21 from his four over spell.
In the Chasing 156, Enamul Haque and the paceman Cooper didn't allow the Royal Bengals off the hook as they take onward the batsmen's momentum. They shared seven wickets after Jacob Oram claimed the early wicket of Nazimuddin. Cooper gave just 10 runs for his four wickets, his best bowling figures in Twenty20s. Enamul's 3 for 14 was also his best and it took him to 12 wickets, the most in the competition.
