Duronto Rajshahi shot up to 3rd  in the league after a resounding seven wicket win over Rangpur Riders. Their fourth win was largely because of the opening partnership between Tamim Iqbal and Charles Coventry, and their bowlers keeping the Riders' batting in check in the last  five overs.

Chasing 163 runs to win, Tamim and Coventry put on  95 runs  for the 1st  wicket .  He made  50 from  36 deliveries, included with two sixes and four boundaries,  Coventry made a 47 from  35,

After Munaweera fall to a wonderful catch on the boundary by Cameron Borgas, Rajshahi were 131 for 3 in 15.4 overs and the Riders sensed an opening. But Jahurul Islam and Sean Ervine saw Rajshahi home with an over to left.  Jahurul struck three gorgeous sixes, one of which was the winning hit straight down the ground, in his 38 off 18 ball.

The Riders had elected  to bat after winning the toss and their top order, made up of local players, had a good start. Junaid Siddique and Shamsur Rahman added 60 runs  in seven overs and Shamsur added another 55 runs  with Nasir Hossain. Shamsur sustained his good form in the season, smashed  his fourth half century. The 68 from  57 balls was also his highest score in the competition. The three Rajshahi spinners bowled  well again, with Monir Hossain and Munaweera picked  up a wicket each.
