Taskin Ahmed's four wickets helped Chittagong Kings to a won that lead them into the 2nd semifinal against Sylhet Royals on Sunday.
Ravi Bopara and Jacob Oram soothed stress after the Kings had down to 87 for 6 in the 15th over, and chase the target in the 18th over. Bopara scored unbeaten 34 from 30 deliveries with three fours and more than the runs it was his taking pressure that mattered most as wickets falls at the other end.
The Chittagong Kings made solid start after Jason Roy and Nurul Hasan put on 43 runs for the first wicket. Naeem Islam jnr's two wickets and some brilliant fielding from Rajshahi gave them an exterior chance in spite of their struggle with the bat earlier.
Taskin Ahmed bowled with brisk pace, had rocked the Rajshahi top-order. He claimed three wickets in four balls after being at first attacked by Charles Coventry. He dismissed the Zimbabwean opener.
Rajshahi quickly slipped to 55 for 6 before Mukhtar Ali and Sean Ervine put on 43 for the seventh wicket partnership to take side towards 100 runs mark. Ervine remained unbeaten on 47 runs, Taskin finished with 4 for 31 from his three overs.
