Mosharraf Hossain, Anamul Haque and Alfonsa Thomas guided Dhaka Gladiators take second successive BPL title with 43 runs victory over Chittagong Kings.

In Chittagong Kings chase of 173 runs, Mosharraf take three vital wickets this performance guide his to won the Man of the Match award. Left arm spinner removed the good 25 runs 2nd wicket partnership  between Nurul Hasan and Jason Roy.

Jason Roy scored brilliant 40 runs from 28 balls included with six fours after his dismissal Chittagong Kings struggled 70 for 5 after 10 ten overs.


Kings Skipper Mahmudullah was their final hopes he dismissed in the 17th over. he made 44 off 28 deliveries with three fours and three sixes. Anamul put on 44 runs for the 2nd wicket with Mohammad Ashraful and then Shakib Joined Anamul for the 3rd wicket added 48 runs in just 31 deliveries. Anamul scored 58 off 36 balls.  

Alfonsa Thomas take two successive wickets and followed by run out finished Match. Chittagong Kings bowled out for 129 runs.

The late plenty of boundaries from Ryan ten Doeschate and Ariful Haque guide Chittagong Kings to 2013  Bangladesh Premier League Finals.

Ten Doeschate ended with four of the final over. He scored unbeaten 44 runs from 28 deliveries.

Nurul Hasan and Naeem Islam put on 56 runs for the 3rd wicket partnership.

Earlier, Sylhet struggled 51 for 3 in the first ten overs. Enamul Haque take 2 for 24 from his four overs spell. and Kevon Cooper got 2 wickets.

Sylhet were rebuild their innings by 48 runs stand for the fifth wicket from Mushfiqur Rahim and Chigumbura. 

Chigumbura scored unbeaten 42 from 25 balls included with three fours and three sixes. Ryan Ten Doeschate named for the Man of the Match award.

Taskin Ahmed's four wickets helped  Chittagong Kings to a won  that lead them into the 2nd  semifinal against Sylhet Royals on Sunday. 

Ravi Bopara and Jacob Oram soothed stress after the Kings had down  to 87 for 6 in the 15th over, and chase  the target in the 18th over. Bopara scored   unbeaten 34 from  30 deliveries  with three fours  and more than the runs it was his taking  pressure that mattered most as wickets falls  at the other end.

The  Chittagong Kings made  solid  start after Jason Roy and Nurul Hasan put on 43 runs for the first wicket.  Naeem Islam jnr's two wickets and some brilliant fielding from Rajshahi gave them an exterior chance in spite of their struggle with the bat earlier.

Taskin Ahmed  bowled with  brisk pace, had rocked the Rajshahi top-order. He claimed  three wickets in four balls after being at first attacked by Charles Coventry. He dismissed  the Zimbabwean opener.

Rajshahi quickly slipped  to 55 for 6 before Mukhtar Ali and Sean Ervine put on  43 for the seventh wicket partnership  to take side  towards 100 runs mark. Ervine remained unbeaten on 47 runs, Taskin finished with 4 for 31 from his three overs.

Chris Gayle mechanical to his tenth T20 century  in Dhaka Gladiators' Race to the Final, but in spite of the huge target of 197 runs  the Sylhet Royals gave brave chase, and in the end fell just short of the 24 runs they required in the last  over. With five runs wanted off the final delivery, Elton Chigumbura swung Mashrafe Mortaza to deep midwicket, where Darren Stevens seized the catch to seal Gladiators' place  in the final of the BPL.

Royals skipper Mushfiqur Rahim had batted progressively for most of the chase. He had  put on 82 runs partnership  with Dwayne Smith he scored  41 runs, for the third wicket and put on  46 runs with Nazmul Hossain Milon.

The result validate Gladiators' last minute buy  Chris Gayle. He was smashed 114 runs from just  51 deliveries, striking 12 huge  sixes. His ninth six was the longest in the season  at 103 metres and it nearly reached the second layer of the stands behind long on. This  was the third century  of the tournament. 

Tillakaratne Dilshan was out dismissed  first ball of the innings to Sohag Gazi, before Mohammad Ashraful was caught at fine leg off Chigumbura. Shakib Al Hasan made  38 off 21 deliveries  with four sixes but he was cleaned up by debutant Sajidul Islam.

The result leads  the Royals will  face the winner of the knockout match between Chittagong Kings and Duronto Rajshahi.
